Materials and Resources:
- Video for listening: The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
- Worksheet "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".
- Scissors and glue.
Today we are HUNGRY HUNGRY! In this activity, we practice our listening skills. Using the video attached above for listening. While the students are listening, they should put the right food on the different days of the week as appear in the story. The food must be cut beforehand.
Suggest: You can use the video as a recording or you can read the story. If the students have a very low level you can make a table with the whole class, for them it must print it in a larger size and use video instead of only the audio.

ReplyDeleteI love this activity is very creative and interesting. This idea can be used for all kinds of topics you want to work with children in class. In general all your activities are very colorful and eye-catching, that is good to capture the attention of the student. In addition, everything is clearly explained, the materials that are to be used in the activity, the time they require, the skills that work in each activity and the explanation of each, this facilitates the work of the teacher.

Listening comprehension is not just hearing what is said - it is the ability to understand the words and relate them in some way. In early elementary classrooms, colorful pictures and objects are used to capture and maintain students' attention and provide critical educational information. In addition, I enjoy the comprehension activity that you have proposed about putting the right food on the different days of the week as appear in the story. Congratulations for your idea.
